I knew John Deacon was a cameo for Stutter Rap, but I wanted to listen to other songs by Morris Minor and the Majors, and... WAIT, John, again?

Funny thing is that despite it being an almost deliberately weak/lame attempt at a parody this is actually quite catchy. I don't know how close to the wind they sailed as regards appropriating the underlying structure (bass, chords, hooks/motifs, etc.) from existing SAW tracks but I bet SAW could've taken this, write some different lyrics (same rhythm and melody, different words) and polished it up, given it to some good singers, and it would've been a hit. In other words, it's supposed to be crap but ironically it's actually quite good. Also another funny thing is that it's actually songwriting wise more complex than a lot of the 4 chord cack that gets written and released today.

I remember watching this back in 88- quite a witty little parody for all the bland dance music that was mass produced at the time. Little did they know that the likes of Stock/Aitken & Waterman would morph into something more sinister that we have today!

I only knew it was a band whose single "Stutter rap" was produced by John Deacon, so I wanted to watch some more videos. Well, they're so funny! :D And when John appeared i was like "OMG! But that's John!": I didn't expect it. Lol.

You have to understand that all Australian 80's hit songs sounded like this song. If you played this in the middle of a Hit Parade, no one would notice

I first heard this in 1988 on Video Hits on Channel 10 and didn't hear it again for 20 years. 20 years later it was STILL Stuck in my damn head, so I went looking again. 5 years after that...yep, still listening to it.
