There's plenty of other death metal I'd recommend but later Death is good entry level stuff to ease you into music with harsh vocals.

Actually it has nothing to not being old skool or easy listening dude, its extreme prog metal with hints of dm (including Symbolic and the follower) therefore i wouldnt call it death metal, especially never refer when "death metal" matters.
