I just found out that Cat Stevens wrote this song. I remember singing this song is church camp and I thought someone just put music to a hymnal. I also listened to a few of his other songs from the 1970s for the first time. I noticed so many comments are about his religion. I think Yusef is strong enough not to take all this personally but use his fame to help Americans see Islam in a different light than what we are taught on the news.

You sound like one minority Christian bigot with a loathing for 'other' religions who, fortunately, have only minorities of bigots as well.
