The original singer of genesis rarely gets enough praise for his innovative and catchy music!

Number 388 of 1001 - Peter Gabriel (Car) - Peter Gabriel"Peter Gabriel" is the first album by Peter Gabriel, it was released in 1977. Peter Gabriel left Genesis and with "Solsbury Hill" he tries to explain why. This album really displays Gabriel's talent as a singer/songwrither, each song has lyrics that interconnect with the music.

When I listen to anything Mike Patton does, I always think Peter Gabriel was doing this 20+ years earlier.

The most classic Genesis sounding track from the first album. Could have been a leftover. Reminds me in parts of The Colony of Slippermen from the Lamb. Robert Fripp was also a genius. It wasn't the same after Fripp left. Still some good music but nothing as experimental or brilliant as the first couple albums.
