So morning breaks and we are free What happened to the man I used to be? We passed the wall, we heard the gate But as I came the hour was late

Sounds very Queen-Queen II-ish, do you agree? It could fit perfectly into Queen II.

Such a great tune.... filled with majesty, grandeur, mystery and drama. VERY underrated band...everyone here is kicking almighty ass. Tim Staffel.....one of the great unknowns. He should be singing with Yes... Mo Bacon, another unsung hero. What happened to him?

@midnightjames81 You're welcome. RCA thought that "Brown Out" was a reference to mooning (a.k.a. showing oneself's ass in public).

@midnightjames81 In fact this was the original cover, as well as the title which was originally "Brown Out", but RCA people thought it was offensive, so they changed the cover and the title to "The Sleeper Wakes"

This song sounds very Queen-ish, don't you think? Very interesting, before it was written and recorded before Queen even had released their first album. So you see the influence that Tim Staffell had on what would become Queen.
