I love and respect Trey's playing but yes, he does have bad technique, however, his technique never stifled his creativity and he remains one of the most unique guitarist out there. I could play this stuff cleaner than Trey but that doesn't matter, music is not a technical exercise and Trey proves this with his chaotic yet atmospheric solos. Trey is one of a kind, a great guitar player.
