Ronnie Montrose plays Rock Candy at Poor Davids Pub in Dallas, Texas.

10-7-11.

I want all the commenters to know, Ronnie played this small club to less than 500 folks.

He put on an hour and a half show. Then he manned a table to autograph everything folks brought, albums, photos and guitars.

He took pictures with anyone who stood still. He told stories, smiled and laughed with everyone.

And finally he autographed the guitar he used to play"Bad Motor Scooter" and raffled it off.

He gave it to the winner and donated the raffle money to a charity.

What a thrill it was to be there.

Thanks again to Don Wishon for bringing Ronnie Montrose to Poor Davids Pub!

AAAAAGGGGHH...the TONE, the phrasing....Ronnie Montrose was the "real deal". He could really get he most out of an old '59 Les Paul sunburst(or a Gene Baker B3 Fire, in this instance).

I saw Ronnie in concert at the Powerhouse club in Folsom,CA Nov. 11'. I went with my Nephew and it was a really good show although we were tired from driving to San Fran earlier that day. R.I.P. Ronnie.

Great show, RIP Ronnie. I was at this show (that's me yelling, "Cannonball Coming") and got Ronnie to sign my guitar that night. He was an exceptional guy and stayed there all night until he signed the last autograph and shook the last hand. The world is a lesser place without his music in it....

This is one of my all time favorites by any band. But, loved hearing Hagar singing it better. What can I say, I am a die-hard Hagar fan!! Always have been, always will be!! The Red Rocker ROCKS MY WORLD BABY!!!!

I saw Montrose as an opening band in 1974 in Orlando, they blew the house away. Frampton's Camel followed but everyone was still buzzing about Montrose

Nobody's commented on how awesome your photography is here - it couldn't be better. When he was starting into the solo at 3:50, I was ready to see him flick a pick into your lens! Thanks for capturing a great moment!
