Don't you dare go runnin' down my little town where I grew up And I won't cuss your city lights

If you ain't ever took a ride around

And cruised right through the heart of my town Anything you say would be a lie

We may live our lives a little slower

But that don't mean I wouldn't be proud to show ya'

Where I come from

There's an old farm boy out turning up dirt Where I come from

There's a preacher man in a cowboy shirt Where I come from

When a couple of boys fight in the parking lot No, nobody's gonna call the cops Where I come from

See that door right there, man I swear

It ain't never been locked

And I Guarantee that it never will

That old man right there in the rocking chair

At the courthouse square I'll tell you now

He could buy your fancy car with hundred dollar bills Don't let those faded overalls fool ya

He made his million without one day of schoolin'

Where I come from

There's a pickup truck with the tailgate down Where I come from

The pine trees are singing a song of the south Where I come from

That little white church is gonna have a crowd Yeah, I'm pretty damn proud of where I come from.

Where I come from

There's a big ole' moon shining down at night Where I come from

There's a man done wrong gonna make it right Where I come from

There's an old farm boy out turning up dirt Where I come from

There's a preacher man in a cowboy shirt Where I come from

When a couple of boys fight in the parking lot No, ain't nobody gonna call the cops

Yeah, that river runs across that Oakland rock Where I come from

Where I come from

Blake Shelton lover!

For all of those who may be wondering how the video and song relate, the song is about where the guy came from. In the title. He is also talking about him fighting/saluting the soldiers fighting for our great nation. He's talking about how almost all of us came from a place where we fight for what we believe to be right. Love the song and I salute all of the veterans and men and women fighting for our country.

I may be only a 15 year old kid in a small southern town, but to those city people who don't understand our lives and a sense of pride we have for our soldiers and veterans- just be quite. I grow up every day in a Christian and military town- and I have nothing but respect for my town and the preachers wearing cowboy shirts, the boys fighting in the parking lot, the people in that little white church, and that man whose done wrong and whose goin' to make it right. Every store, and restaurant has a sign in my town, with the acronym EDICCIMAD. It stands for Every day in Camden county is military appreciation day.

The guy twirling the mic kinda makes this song worse.

It's a shame. The older guy is such a ham and makes the video so shtickty. And also every live show he ever does is basically the same. This song has NOTHING to do with the war, but he will cheapen our soldiers' lives for a schticky video with zero connection. "Hey! Throw some shots of the troops dying in! Now shoot us against a sandy mountain so it looks like we're in a desert! That'll stick! Now, get at least 5 more shots while I sing into the mic while sliding it back and forth in my hand and blinking half playing dumb and half like I-think-I'm-so-clever into the camera while the camera is on.*"They could have done a really cool video like "Small Town"

What a phony. He killed Cubby, a tame bear that was in a one-acre enclosure, and pretended that he was hunting it. He pleaded guilty and got a slap on the wrist. Just do a search for Troy Gentry tame bear.Boycott this psychopath.

This is a great song and very captivating video. One thing though, there were two terrorists shooting at the soldiers and they only showed one of them getting killed. Was the other terrorist also killed or should we assume the helicopter strafed him or killed him in an airstrike? That would have made it more cool like with the helicopter firing a missile and taking out an enemy position and killing many of them. This is what should happen to anyone who fights against our soldiers and who hates America. God bless the USA and support our troops!
