No, never heard of Fleet Foxes, until right now! I enjoyed Grown Ocean. I know most people don't like comparisons; this band sounds like that band. On and on, but I did get a bit of a Jefferson Airplane/Simon and Garfunkel vibe. Nothing wrong with that. Thanks for sharing.

I'm not really sure, to be honest. It's been a long time since I've listened to it, really. But I remember that the day I commented on this video was the day I really started branching off into indie folk music, as opposed to the music of those artists I mentioned before. Have you ever heard of Fleet Foxes? I discovered them on that same day, and they're my favorite band now.

I caught them by accident on Austin City Lights, just this past sunday, I thought they had just a touch of the "dead" sound. Oh, when I say accident I mean I fell asleep in the lazy chair and woke up to them. Usually I don't listen to music like this, but something is wrong with me....I really like it. Never heard of MOF...How long have they been around?

Just started listening to these guys tonight, and I am very impressed! I like this a lot already, and they're all alive! That's a change from what I usually listen to (Harry Chapin, John Denver, Jim Croce, etc...). Very good stuff this.

@Steverichparker I don't really see how he is affecting the band negatively. Do too many people like him? Possibly. Is he not quite as instrumentally varied as the rest of the group? Possibly. But he works. He's great at guitar and is getting much better at singing. Plus his lyrics oftentimes straddle the line of genius (in my opinion).
