I think Peter does a really great job on the vocals to this song, actually I think it sounds just as good as Mike's. I can't wait to see them in July, but it's sad that Davy won't be there. Rip Davy...

I actually think Peter does a great job on this song, we are just used to hearing Mike's vocals. Quite enjoyable actually.....still a great memory! Plus who can give a thumbs down to anyone who plays banjo????? :)

I have to agree with you. I hate it when the guys redo Mike's songs. When I went and saw the guys live in '97 it was a nice thought of them doing Mike's Listen To the Band but it also ticked me off. That was and is Mike's song. I love Peter and have even bought his solo CD and love it but his voice was not meant to sing this song this song was meant for Mike's voice and only Mike's voice. He also doesn't have the enthusiasm in this song as Mike did.

Love this song. Peter is doing a great job. He didn't get a lot of solo's when the band was young. Maybe one on each album. He was like the 'Ringo' of the band. That being said, I miss you, Davy. RIP. @-->--

@sharondi You're entitled to your opinion, but they've been doing this song with Peter singing lead since 1986. Plus, Mike didn't write this song. I like when they do Mike's songs, though, it shows they like him enough to throw him a royalty, and it also shows Mike doesn't consider it demeaning to have the "Monkees" singing his songs.

Sorry if this offends anyone but this is my personal opinion.. I appreciate any monkee fan, I am one of the biggest!! Leave Nesmith's perfection alone. That being said... This is a hot mess. Why dosen't Peter Tork sings song that he wrote?? Ummm??? Because he didnt!!! WTG?? I say WTF!!
