wow, too bad this southern rock sound has kind of died over the years, I last saw mollyhatchet in las vegas in 2007 at the santé fe casino, good show but they played freebird astheir last song as a skynyrd tribute, that's ok but play more of your own stuff next time, miss this band so much

Oh,both bands were so good! RVS loved Hatchet and wanted to produce their first album but then came the plane crash.

You're right,but Danny had left and Jimmy stepped in and did his best in a very difficult situation. Beatin' The Odds was a pretty damn good album. I saw them once with Jimmy singing and it was a good show but when it comes to Molly Hatchet,nothing beats the years Danny Joe Brown was the singer. They were maybe the best live band that I ever saw. And LOUD!

I have always considered Molly Hatchet a Southern Rock band. An awesome live band in their early years. And a lot of their early music was like speed metal before their was a musical genre called speed metal.It's a shame that they will never get the respect that they deserve.
