I first heard this song in this movie and ever since then, it's always stuck with me that this song is about people going away or moving on in their life. I love the feelings this song gave me, so I used it for meditating here and there. It always drew vivid thoughts of the people of yesterday and how they aren't here, and how I'm still here without them. It's insane how you can go through your life with people being so important and then the next moment they are not there.

Michael Mann once again writes the book on epic soundtracks to finish his films on a real high ,I must admit it wasn't my favourite Mann film then again Heat takes some beating on any level

Autorock by Mogwai is an awesome track and I first heard it at the ending of Michael Mann's reboot of Miami Vice in 2006. Mann was the original producer of the popular original TV series by the same name.I had listened to Mogwai on and off over the years and their original music compulations never disappoint, but the icing on the cake is when you take two creative forces like Mogwai and Mann and combine them in a way they compliment each other, well then you have something very special.Check out Autorock and enjoy!
The first time I ever heard this song, I was a country boy sitting on the balcony of my room, in Downtown Kansas City Mo. Like Esher Santelices said, It "Does something to me."
