yeah the older songs are awesome, it's what got me into the band in the first place about 15 years ago, but every band evolves and matures. Their new stuff sounds a lot more polished and has a less emotional vibe, but i still love their new stuff to.12 years ago

Actually fun fact: There's a song called "Here Comes Trouble" which was from late 90s to early 2000s, and they redid it into "Perpetual Motion Machine," which was on No One's First. It proves that they're still drawing from the older era. I also fully expect some of these unreleased songs and demos to either be referenced in future songs or fully remade.12 years ago

I think more along the lines of being an Isaac Brock fan than just a modest mouse fan. All of the albums have a different flavor and the band members have changed over the years, with exception to Isaac of course. Plus, his work with Ugly Casanova is brilliant.13 years ago

the thing i love about MM is that every album has its own feeling and tone. we were dead is a great album in its own right, as is good news. are they as good as long drive or the lonesome crowded west? no, but i can appreciate how isaac has changed in his life and how that is reflected in his music.13 years ago
