I still like the term "lucifer" for a match. they do smell of sulphur when you light them.

This is nothing to do with Mitch Miller. This piece is 'It's a Long Way to Tipperary / Pack up Your Troubles in Your Old Kid Bag' by the Robert Mandell Chorus & Orchestra from the album 'Great Songs from the Great War (Highlights) - The Words & Music of World War I'.

This is definitely the best version of this epic song. And remember to shout "without your trousers!" every time they sing "it's a long way to tipperary" :-D

@ZweiWO it actually is on the soundtrack of the movie, however, it is a medley between the chorus from the original song and another WWI song, "Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit-Bag, and Smile, Smile, Smile".

Mitchell William "Mitch" Miller (July 4, 1911 – July 31, 2010). For the happy 99 years you gave us happy, foot-stomping, follow-the -bouncing ball singing music, sir...may I say from the bottom of my heart, dearest thanks. You did not invent the sing-along...but you perfected it to an art form, Mitch. May God Bless and rest you, sir. An avid fan from NH and Texas. Peace to You, Merry Music Man. Always.
