McDowell was a great slide guitarrist full of feeling. He did not record until he was discovered in 1960.

If you like this, then you'll love Ian thornleys spin on this. Type in Mississippi Fred Ian thornley, and listen to how Ian plays just like old Fred did. He'd sure make Mississippi Fred proud. Two legends in their own time. Enjoy.

Now you have to wonder where music has gone now... Meaning and feeling is rare!

i dont want 2 upset people that like digital formats,my goal is 2 raise awarness that out side of digital formats is the greatest format known 2 man, analogue is as close as u can get 2 being there,it captures topend midrange n bottomend, with totally separate sound levels thru out,2 replace this with a carbon copy of what can b put on a cd 4 vinyl reissue,is robbing music lovers of a VITAL exspeariance.also this is how the musicians intended it 2 b so keep yr inferior digital lps n 45s,

thank alan lomax 4 that he recorded blues artists all over the country n all of it would have been a memory if it wasnt 4 him,i dont think the vinyl reissues r analogue tho,im suspicious of labels now so i buy the old 1ps without multiple overdubs n inferior sonics,i want nothing but 2 exspeariance it as it was,the sad fact is.98% of new lp n 45 reissues r pointlessly digital 2day,n far from respect what the original musicians intended.all the original releases r far superior n its a sad fact
