JUST A KID

Performed by Edgar Winter, music and lyrics by L. Ron Hubbard.

Lyrics:

They never once suspected

He was more than just a kid

He passed by undetected

As he moved amongst them

CHORUS:

Hey kid, whatcha know

Hey kid, how's it go

Just a kid

Just a kid

Hey kid, whatcha know

Hey kid, how's it go

Ya ya, ya ya ya ya,

Just a kid

He smiled and tipped his cap

Baseball cap, spiked shoes

Laughed a little bit to himself

As he thought, "Do I got news!"

Nothing sinister about his face

No hint, no clue

Nothing there to give away

What he was really up to

CHORUS

He came here to salvage Earth

From pollution and nuclear fission

An extra-terrestrial combat engineer

On a very secret mission

Very plain to one and all

He was not a man yet

It would have blown their skulls to know

That he could obliterate their planet

REPEAT CHORUS

This song is as cringeworthy as KISS Music from the elder

I'm pretty sure Edgar growing up in Beaumont, TX probably grew up Baptist. Remember he is a musician for pay. He did not write the lyrics. He put it to music, probably under the payment of Hubbard. Hired. Leave it at that.

Weird. Bizarre. Typical $cientology, Neurotology.

It's too bad the Dark Lord Xenu didn't put out an album.  It would have made a good counterpoint to this suck-fest.

Hey Obani, You out to bust down on some SPs ans wogs?  You sound like a Will Smith style scientologist. Always playing the apologist but never admitting to be an adherent to it...  You're the only one here that can't smell your own farts.Oh hey I almost forgot the important part, this song is like being ball gagged and raped by a cactus plant (kinda fun, but really painful).  LRH should stick to cults.  I wonder if Joseph Smith or Charles Manson left some instructional tapes for how to write shitty rock albums?

paying for hours in which they just hold the E-meter and contemplate themselves..payments and the use of the E-meter are irrelevant to the spiritual part. Neither is needed. Its thinking out loud, auditing yourself. The excessive cost speaks for itself when it comes to what Scientologists want. The e-meter is just a propI feel most sorry for kids born into it. The people at the Center I went to in 2009 were like robots and they really were desperate to get me buying books and taking a course

It really is a shame that someone like Edgar Winter has been hypnotized into thinking Scientology is meaningful..That's all Scientology is - hypnosis through repetitive books and courses. If LRH told them to quack like a duck, all Scientologists would be acting like ducks. They are hypnotized and its really sad to go one of those Sunday services and see the sad look in the staff's eyes.An average person could just look at them and realize how pathetic they are. They don't know what they believe

I can give several facts about it. I've been interested in Scientology, Eckankar, Heavens Gate, Raelian Movement, as a hobby, for over 13 years. I've attended four Scientology sunday services (Nashville, 2009) and have 7 of LRHs books like Problems of Work, Evolution of a Science, Original Thesis, Fundamentals of Thought and History Of Man. Scientology charges lots of money for the person to essentially give talk-therapy to themselves. I can talk Scientology all day, lets discuss.

Nice judgement. Personally I believe religion is for the weak minded but I don't put people down for their choices. Perhaps you should check your own religious beliefs.

of all the strict instructions L. Roy Stubbard left for the album, he forgot to emphasize "should not suck"

Edgar Winter may be a fine musician, but obviously does not have the intelligence to find a meaningful religion.
