After leaving the Babys to solo-it in the early 80s, John penned his biggest hit while touring abroad and greatly missing his wife. Though some consider the lyrics to be an egotistical farewell to a discarded girlfriend, they actually deal with the loss and pain of separation. This 2003 concert has John peforming with 'Ringo Starr's All Starr Band' alongside many mega-talented stars and fellow musicians. Even if you don't remember Waite's original 1984 version of this song, you probably have heard one of the many covers which have surfaced throughout the years, including Tina Turner's megahit of the song and a couple of country versions of it as well.
