Dale sounds good. She was never a great singer or performer, but we liked her for her uniqueness. We loved her. This is overproduced. The music is a bit hard for her soft voice and doesn't fit well. I like the song, but the mismatch of rock and new wave is apparent. With CoL they left new wave and went rock. This is a marriage of the two and it sounds bland.

It's surprising to see Bozzio make a comeback after all this time, and seeing what she has to offer is a curiosity. That being said, the lyrics of this one ... Well, I just simply couldn't get into them. I didn't hear one single engaging phrase in this entire song. And Bozzio seems to be directed not to display any of her personae at all in this track. That's an insult to her next to all the material she's delivered to us in the past. I'm not saying that the lyrics seem dishonest, but they're very much in the form that they could be sung by either 19-year-old woman or a 98-year-old man, and you'd still get the same result. Maybe for some artists that works, but not for Bozzio, and certainly not for tracks like this. You have an artist that can make a song her own; use that to your advantage! :-)

This should've been released as a Dale Bozzio album and not "...of Missing Persons".Dale is fantastic in her own right--her music deserves to be titled with her own name.
