well i think actually a lot of people appreciate the "newfits". you get the crusty people who say they are "pop punk" and point out that they weren't as dangerous as during the danzig reign, but most who gave them a shot eventually were impressed. graves is a great writer ("dig up her bones" is a classic! and there are lotsa others) and doyle is a literally a monster! i agree with those who say they shoulda had a different name, but they were the best misfits-inspired horror punk band there is!

I thought I was the only one who liked the second incarnation of The Misfits. I'll admit that The Devil's Rain has some okay tracks but it doesn't hold a torch to anything like American Psycho and Famous Monsters or any of the older stuff for that matter. Plus Doyle's eerie guitar feedback in a lot of their 90's music was wicked.
