'Absent Light', the astonishing fourth album from Technical Hardcore pioneers Misery Signals, distributed exclusively throughout the UK and Europe by Basick Records.

'Even though it has been a long time coming, it would be wrong to describe Absent Light as a comeback -- it is merely a brilliant continuation of everything that made the band exceptional in the first place' 5/6 - Thrash Hits

'I had been longing for a Misery Signals album like this for years and after an excruciatingly long wait they have finally delivered...5 years after 'Controller', Misery Signals return with a release that's about to blow your fucking head off' 4.5/5 - Rocknreel Reviews.

'"Absent Light" extremely focused and the legion of imitators that they are still relevant even after five years of silence. "Absent Light" is one of this year's highlights in this genre. One can only hope that we do not have to wait again five years another album' 9/10 - metal.de

In my humble oppinion, this is one of those examples where as mentioned previously in another users post, the listener is actually using good taste and not media hype or any sort of propoganda (i.e. blasting the same damn song on the radio every 45 minutes). It's with a happy heart and uplifted soul that I have the opportunity to listen to some of the musical gold these obscure and wonderful metal bands have produced. August Burns Red, Oh Sleeper, Chimaira, Misery Signals, The Human Abstract, The Sorrow, Born of Osirus...these are only a handful of the bands that make my hair stand on end and tug at the emotional strings of my heart...Many a time I have been brought to tears by the beauty of a particular song or even a riff or breakdown Ive never really noticed before. The lyrics of Oh Sleeper have and still do cause me to weep often...anyways, like I said, just my oppinion but I agree. Congrats on not being part of the herd. "We are the voice and the clarion call - We are the the tyrants ruin and the rival's fall.""Let there be no shine to your armor. Let it speak of the blows received while standing for honor."

It's decent but the vocals are boring. Very generic screaming voice. The first guy was the best.

How in the actual fuck does this only have 70k views? This song is pure gold. Misery Signals one of the only bands out there with a real message behind their music. I actually feel something when I listen to them. All time favorite bands

This year's Album of the Year for me will be tough to decide... This, the new Cloudkicker, Soilwork, The Safety Fire, Tesseract, Scale the Summit, August Burns Red, Bring me the Horizon, Dillinger Escape Plan... Welp, at least I'm headbanging all year.
