@888caper i agree with most of your statement. but i wouldnt say the most skilled performers are in the metal genre.. there are a lot of metal bands that dont know shit about prasing or composing music. alot of bands just decide to do blast beats and sweep picking on guitar and attempt to call it a song.

My point was, when someone listens to a really untalented black/ death/ whatever metal band, then they go off and say that all music of that genre is shite. If they were to listen to a band like this instead, their opinion on that music genre would be different; that make sense? That's all I was saying dude.
