Kinks Khronicles was one of the best albums in my collection way back in the 70's. Love the Kinks.

found this on an old vinyl single. after listening to the fantastic kinks for 40+ years, i gotta say MINDLESS CHILD is the best Davies's song ever.

This is so brilliant. They have so many others. Their greatest songs never made it to the radio. Wonder Boy. She's Got Everything. Autumn Almanac. Who Will Be The Next In Line. Plastic Man. Ape Man. Damn I love this music!

@carspiv in UK, B side of 'Lola' was 'Berkeley Mews", in US, it was 'Mindless ...'

@maida1982a ----I think that was the "re-release" of 'Lola' from 'The Kinks Kronikles' album. Just a guess....

The fact that Drivin was the a side and not this is insulting

This should have been the A side!

I first heard this one as a bonus track when The Kinks pre-RCA catalog got remastered and reissued on CD on the Castle label. It was a bonus track on the "Arthur" CD and I absolutely FLIPPED FOR IT! So catchy and so solid. Instantly became what I like to call a "repeat" favorite. You just hit the repeat button over and over and over.

B-side? This song should be a double A side! I listen to it 3-4 times over cuz it's so good! Dave davies is the man! To think he wrote the best (well, my favorite anyway) Kinks tune! Quite a mean feat considering who his brother is!

In the USA, it was released as the B-side of "Lola", right?
