it is funny how parents were talking shit about the pole. and now that i watched this again, got me thinking that some parents are stupid. the pole was meant for her to now fall off the ice cream truck. the parents are the ones that made it bad.just like when she performed and everyone freaked out bc she twerk. is not like she is the only person to ever twerk. and she was supposed to be a giant baby but again parents turned it into something else.

I remember everything from this performance back in 2009!When I saw the pole, I didn't think anything about it (then again I was 13 at the time, so..) and parents went ape-shit about it. Looking back on it, she didn't even dance ON the damn pole. She only "danced" *besides* it. Boy, have times changed up to this point.

the day Miley refined POLE DANCING..lol...seems like just yesterday she was being trashed for this NO-WHERE-NEAR-INAPPROPRIATE performance...now she's just.. no where near the girl she is here...gosh, what a different 9 years can make. The difference between this and the MTV performance? This sounds good. Sure, Miley's MTV performance was outlandish and obviously unexpected but my main issue with it was that she wasn't singing like I know she can. This girl has chops and all that MTV thing did was make people think she's not a enough singer to actually sing the song, so she's gotta do crazy shit to distract people from it - which isn't the case.
