It's not the exact translation. He said that he slightly rewrote it in an English version when he sang it in Germany at a show. But yes, I do think too that it's better in French.8 years ago

The thing that I don't like about this is it says "you never make no sense, screaming at me in french. 'Pourqoi tu gaches tu vie?'" Like.... you two are literally screaming the same thing at eachother in different languages. :/ sorry I like the French one better.8 years ago

Okay here's the thing: I understand why MIKA would decide to do this, but the original song was so much better. It even had the snazzy video! I don't like how the lyrics had to be changed to fit the music. I'm definitely sticking with Elle Me Dit.9 years ago

Hi All, read some of the comments. Actually the French and English version have two separate meanings. The French version is about a mum pushing on her kids, husband and family to move forward, The English is about a guy trying to shake up a girl he is in love with, to stop being stuck up in herself and come to dance. It is a beautiful love song. So guys, when you are in love with someone, invite her to dance, and never stop... (ps - the English version does not fit at all the original video...)Related Videos
