This album and particularly this song, although good, will always remind me of a time when I was mentally ill. I remember buying this album way back in 2006 when it was first released and at the time I was going to college away from home for the first time and I dont know what happened or why but I had a serious psychotic break from reality. Although I knew what I was going through was an illness, it still didnt stop me from having delusions and hallucinations, accompanied with full blown panic attacks, often times walking to and being in class. It was a scary, intensely hopeless time for me but I feel like this album helped me through it and it gave me a shimmer of hope and happiness that always comes back whenever I hear it.. At times I would pretend that I was the "Billy Brown" he was singing about and the line..."Don't let the waves let you drown" always stuck with me. I never let them...
