Gonna see this vintage, classic band in October in the Lone Star State. Saw them a few years ago in Baytown, TX for FREE. This is a band forever in my heart and soul...Midnight Promises don't mean a thing in the early morning light...a talk I will have with my daughter as Toy wrote this song for his daughter:-)

We met Toy in south Florida on his solo tour less than a year before his passing. He signed his "Midnight Promises" solo CD for us, and when I told him I think that it was some of his best work, he looked at me surprised and said, "You Do?", as if I was somebody special, and sincerely cared how I felt. That was Toy Caldwell, a beautiful, talented spirit who will live on forever in our hearts.I am one, but speak for many....We sure miss you Toy, Tommy, and George...

I have loved this band since I was a teenager and I used to live in fort Lauderdale and had friends in Indiantown down in booker park. I now live in Georgia.

Respect indeed-have you checked out the 2 videos, 1 of Tommy, 1 of Toy? Search videos by -dkmccurry- I think you will like them-real folks doing what they loved to do, not for fame or money. Thanks for your comment !

Toy Caldwell was a Vietnam Vet who served in the Marines for 3 years and was even wounded. The man earned more honor than most of us will ever know. And when he got home, he shook that war off, picked up his guitar and played, and wrote and created some of the most wonderful music I've heard in my life. Toy is an American music legend. He both served and entertained his country. Nothing but respect.
