I just wish Aboriginal society was able to advance as quickly as Peter Garret's political career. I'd like Hinton see this again and remember what he used to stand up for.

as great as this song sounds, i feel the purpose of blackfella/whitefella is bring all races of people together and realising we are all humans, but the purpose of deadheart is in a way dividing white and black australians. The past is the past, present day australians do not share the views that our forefathers 200 years ago did, in regards to aboriginal peoples

The change over in drummers at 2:30 always sends a shiver up my spine - Rob Hurst at his best!!! I heard an interview with him a few years ago and he explained how the Oils achieved their infectious beat: simply by continuously speeding up and slowing down the drumming tempo many times during a song, something that not many drummers can do.

On another look CP35017 I agree...Yeah it was NOT! What is true is the lady in the clip is lovely looking :D Besides, this excellent bunch of musos would NEVER have Ms P.H involved in such a message filled, moving musical piece!

at some stage, the real peter garret will step forward from behind the mask, become our prime minister, and reverse the messed up shit hes had to go along with all these years in parliament.
