Comparing apples and oranges. First of all, Elvis was the first ever to have that 'swurvy'/loose-legged dance style that no one at the time could even fathom. It doesn't look like a big deal the way he danced when looking at it in 2015, but in the 1950s (nearly 70 years ago) his swag was so unique they banned his legs for a short while from TV! literally, that's how different it was at the time, therefore he was an innovative dancer, as so was Michael Jackson but it's known that Michael Jackson borrowed heavily from a bunch of people before him including James Brown and Elvis, I mean even the swag of the way Michael moves his legs and his highwater pants and white sox was borrowed from Elvis. Don't get me wrong, Elvis' music was black music first so Elvis borrowed too. Everyone borrows off of each other but you can't compare Michael Jackson's highly practiced/choreographed dance performances to Elvis just fucking around on stage, I mean in the Beat It Video, the dude with the White Blazer and Shades (Gang leader) was the choreographer (creator) of that entire dance performance and he out-danced Michael in it because it was his, not Michael's. The Thriller Video dance moves belonged to a choreographer, not Michael, the majority of Michael's dance videos were contributed by choreographers, Michael owned the Moonwalk and several other moves, and could have been a choreographer himself but he didn't invent every dance you see in this video, he just performed it (and performed it well). I bet if Elvis was born again in this era and actually worked with the same choreographers he would have the swag and rythem to rival a lot of people Today when it comes to dancing. I think they're both great dancers, because of one reason. Michael Jackson, has good moves, but he's stiff. Elvis Presley, is a natural dancer. Then again, I think Elvis, won. Michael jackson duhh. Michael is known for the moonwalk, toe stand, 360 spin, anti gravity lean, crotch grab, and others. Elvis just sort of moved. Michael Jackson, Fred Astair, and Gene Kelly are the greatest dancers of all time. Elvis could move though as seen in the video. His live performances were so energetic. But michael knock the wind out of your cells. He was like magic! But overall, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley were the two greatest solo artists of all time.
