Tych, którzy zaciekle bronią polskości Ogińskiego uświadamiam, że był on członkiem konfederacji targowickiej.

Мелодия, любимая с детства... Сестра когда - то её на пианино играла. Замечательный композитор!

Reading some comments of Lithuanians made me hopeless. Why the hell are we allies then? Suit yourself and don't ask us for help against Russia if you hate us so much!

For some nationalists, probably mostly samogitian' dunces - Ogiński was born in Guzów, Żyrardów County (near Warsaw) in the Kingdom of Poland. Even the title POLONAISE in french means POLISH (being kind of music and also old Polish dance). Better all you chauvinistic nationalists write about Ponary - DON"T make hate and spam here! BTW: Those times Lithuania Duchy was mostly part of today' Belarus and was only part of Polish Crown - Kingdom territory, cause beside real Lithuania Duchy to Poland (for safety, freedom and in the begining Christianity to avoid teutonic Crussaiders attacks) joined other duchy called Inflants (north-east of Europe), Moldova as a lignite (to be safe from Ottoman Turks - Poland) and some others duchy or ethnos. Even the Russian (in fact Russia name didn't exist those times cause 1st tsar it is only XVI century - Ivan the Terrible from Ruriks being vikings in fact, not Russians and not respected/recognized title by Polish Kingdom/Crown for being self-styled) boyars wanted to join the Muscovy Duchy to Poland (mostly for fredom, very civilized law and better prosperity).IT'S FILM ABOUT POLISH MUSIC NOT OF 1 COUNTRY CHAUVINISM ! Yes, Kopernik was Lithuanian woman !

That such beautiful music can be composed with such a tragic motive: "Farewell to the Homeland". It would be for me a sad occassion and if I could write music, it would be much, much sadder. Though this music gives me the power to go on again. Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. I can't stop listening.
