Lyrics are still a mystery to me after all these years, I think I'd rather leave them mysterious than look them up. It is mostly indecipherable gibberish and then some bizarre lines stand out, eg. "..send a message to my mother, what number would she be?" -- ok, that one line is enough to put you on a tangent and down a rabbit hole. What? He doesn't know his own mother's number? He is supposed to be "cool" and the first thing he thinks of is calling his mummy?? Almost 40 years after I first heard it, and never having bothered to look up the lyrics, this song sometimes still pops into my head, and that lyric pops up amongst the seeming gobbledegook and I have the same reaction I had 40 years ago: WTF???The only other line that I can make out is "the metric switch don't care"...the METRIC switch?? Don't "care"??? Wow, apparently this computer is so "advanced" it has finally ditched the Imperial Measurement system and gone metric...that's some whizz bang futuristic machine you've got there. When this song came out, I was literally playing Ping Pong computer games on a black and white monitor...while playing my vinyl 45 of Mi-Sex computer games.

Fall 1979. A perfect song to usher in the 1980s...

The very sound of all those analogue pulses triggering in perfect syncopation lulls the Nerdian Psyche like a Mothers gentle Bosom, the machine however rigid weaves it's Binary spell upon the willing infant eager to embrace , co-act and be delightfully attuned to such rhythmic beat ,......my oh my how our generation grew and became the devotees of the innovation of that era , ...and here we are today happily existing in the Digital jungle , it is heartwarming to look back with much fondness , ....." Mi-sex were indeed Legend " ! Lol !!

I think the sound is very robust even though it is pretty hard to get excited about mainframes. Tron wasn't around yet to get into the groove.
