MFSB war ein Zusammenschluß meherer Studiomusiker die Phillysound-Musiker begleiteten und später eigene Alben erfolgreich veröffentlichten.1974 hatten sie mit "TSOP (The Sound Of Philadephia) einen internationalen Top-Hit, zusammen mit den Three Degrees als Background-Sängerinnen. Ursprünglich war das Instrumental die Musik zur US-Fernsehshow Soul Train.

Those were the days: Saturdays watching Soul Train over a Philadelphia station (living in Allentown, PA). No greater compilation than TSOP with these Soul Train dancers.Feel sad for so many young people today who have never experienced music with a message or music with pure soul.10 years ago
