Korpiklaani songs are reason why I've started to learn finnish language. It's not so easy... but I've supposed that it will be more difficult. Today, my favourite saying is Olen Paska (I'm shit)...

@Met666 I think Vaari is more interested in booze then in a joint but he wouldn't mind sitting around the campfire with his shaman drum and telling you ancient kalevala stories ;)

On claims this cd is not the best I raise you, Sulasilmaa, kohmelo, eraamaan aarjyt, mettaanpeiton valtiaalle, uniaika, and koennin kuokkamies. Some of my favorite songs by them. I have many favorites but in my opinion this cd is great.

Valtias means lord. The man in metsänpeitto is singing to please the lord of metsänpeitto, e.g. a gnome that controls it, so that the lord would let him out of it.

Well, you are right they became too commercial. I mean they just try more to make money than to make nice music on this album and on this season. Though I loved this album, because however it's not like their past ones, it's still great.

Metsanpeito is a state of being in Finnish mythology. In the state of metsänpeitto no birds or other voices of the forest can be heard. A familiar forest becomes strange and different. Sense of time and space is lost. A person in metsänpeitto can look like a rock to the others. It is possible to get out from metsänpeitto by turning some of your clothes upside down, staring between your legs, or by singing to the spirits, like gnomes, who probably have caused the realm of metsänpeitto.
