When I listen to this album, it reminds me of when an old rusty truck starts it's engine again after sitting in the garage for so long... It doesn't have the crisp clean sound like it once did but still has some attitude and energy behind it... I like the album because it feels like they all have come back from some weird wonderland and now are coming back to their roots. Finding their foot hold in a new perceived world and angry about their demons...

I want to learn how to play Kirts guitar for this song and his guitar chorus cause I know they're tuned to drop b. If anyone knows how please let me know. I wanna learn the live version and not the cd version. Look at his hand placement in the chorus.

Last but not least: One really good thing St. Anger has to offer: Frantic! I love that song, specially the often criticized drums sound good to me, I really like 'em a lot, specially in Frantic.

be influenced by the Nu Metal Wave that was happening about that time. I don't have anything against Nu Metal, but that clear singing James does on some songs (such as St. Anger) really make me angry somehow. That makes me think things like: "Goddamn, you're James Hetfield, you're the one who sang one Master of Puppetts and are like this now?!?" I really hate that Songs slow parts...

to it, I want something different to happen but it doesn't. When the song is over i think: "This started so well but got worse any minute." Another bad thing is that it doesn't have any Guitar Solo on it. Listen to My World. That song has a really lack of it. Anywhere could have been a signature classical Kirk Hammet Solo but there isn't even one. If you listen to that songs you want something to happen anywhere and you almost think of how it could be. Another bad thing is that Metallica seemed

(I wouldnt even call myself a hater cause I don't think that it's Metallicas weakest album and agree that it has it good sides, but a lot of problems I'll mention:) The Music and melodies are good for sure, but thats not anything you need to make good music. On St. Anger it's often to much and not enough. I mean that the songs are fuckin long and don't have many changes. The beest examples are Invisible Kid and St. Anger itself. You hear the same thing over and over again and anytime I listen
