I really think Metallica were so close to doing something so cool with this album. In an alternative reality, St Anger changed the nu-metal game and gave it more longevity with breath of fresh air (as most nu-metal sucks, except bands outside the genre like SOAD and Deftones).

Its just IMO man, you dont have to be agree. I love them as much as every fan here. You need to be honest and face the truth - with Cliff they lost creativity, with Jason they lost fire. 10 years ago Metallica hired Trujilo and still feels like he is just session musician and adds no uniqness to their style. if you watch the doco some kind of monster its shows you what the song is about a radio chain wanted them to do a promo they didnnt like it Q prime said that the could fuck yous on the next record for it then james says i under stand wash your back an you wash mine and the hes goes it more like wash your back so you dont stab mine and then the lyrics carry on on that theme of record companies and radios control
