cameraman (men?) from Toontrack make(s) me sick during all interviews: that is a rare skill... Sneap made some money mixing.. ; damn, a fucking castle (i'm not jealous; well, maybe just a little bit).

The Metal Foundry is an expansion pack to the Superior Drummer line. The other metal kits released by Toontrack were for the EZDrummer line. Superior Drummer is a much more in-depth program compared to EZDrummer, which is basically plug and play. Superior Drummer can add your own EQ, Compression, additional snares, ect. You have complete control over your kit.

Agreed man. I"ve been playing guitar for 20yrs,drums for 12yrs, and bass for 15yrs. As a drummer i love superior drummer 2.0 because it takes the needless hassle out of micing drums and getting a good sound. Furthermore, it gives drummers a good kick in the ass about how their drums should sound and really separates the guys that think they can play drums, from the guys that actually tune their drums and sound professional.

Shut up... I agree but as far as I am concerned this software is perfect for a guitarist writing songs at home without enough money for a session drummer so that he/she can record a full song without having to use either shoddy midi sounds or be friends with a drummer. I don't think this software means that every single metal band from now on will use drum programming for records it just means that when you can't use a drummer you can have great sounding drums.

This is why music has gone to shit. This kind of stuff takes the HUMAN feel out of music what ever happened to micing drums and cabnets letting a pro E.Q. the tracks.why even pay musicians any more just hire some fuck to make some hit put some metal type guys that look the part and sell a couple million .Its sad that music has come to this.you dont even need talent anymore just a look.

I've been in local bands for almost 15 years and I have to say almost all the better recordings ive heard had sampled drums. At least to double if its not used as the primary sound. Id rather hear fake drums that sound good than real drums that sound bad.

@LandOfMutants Such as; Andy only samples the kick and blends the snare. He occasionally samples toms, but not very often. The rest is completely real.
