5:24...I just imagine a slow camera pan upward toward the sun, flares and geysers of fire belching out into space. There's immense mass and power and brutality in this song. It serves to remind me how terrifically indifferent the universe is to our existence, even if that isn't necessarily the meaning behind the lyrics :)10 years ago

"your evil inclinations wrapped in lies" is a bullshit statement. The subject of this song doesn't have the ability to critically think, so naturally every lie told is believed as the truth. The lies are perceived as "evil" because everyone hates him. Naturally, giving someone you hate great power is the antithesis of what people want, it is something people perceive as "evil". The subject is treated with malice, cruelty and is remorselessly insulted. This sort of behavior is a more traditional barometer of bad or "evil" behavior. In reality, the subject is an innocent victim. This serves as an indicator of moral relativism; that there is no ingrained moral compass 11 years ago
