It's clear the song is about NO MORE KILLING - GO VEGAN.

Actually, I think there may be an error here. I think the lyrics are "we bled in each other's wombs." Could be wrong

Sn Awesome song for the time. The lyrics bring you right into the moments, feelings, torture, of the period of time. Just an amazing dong.

I bought this record in the summer of 1970, and only now am I getting the lyrics right. The flip side begins this video, then the promoted side. It's never too late to get the lyrics right, especially because I can still play the record!

The song was written about the Woodstock festival. I was a just a kid, but I got the meaning of this song. Lay it all down for PEACE! This world of ours could stand a lot more peace and love. The youth of this era stood up for the beliefs, for world peace, what do the youth of today stand up for? The latest version of the IPHONE. How f'd up is this?

I Liked this song better before i saw the words. Now, it's like a third grader wrote the lyrics on a acid trip...

I find this song rather prophetic with Ebola on its way to the World, especially in Africa and soon to America Babylon....how those with Jesus' love are put down....white birds smile up at the ones who stand and frown. Those who love vs those who hate, like Believers in Christ vs believers in allah. Like Rachel, I too am not fond of the Meher Baha new age bull crap at the beginning. But the rest is down right awesome!

I will always remember this song from those years so long ago.

I'm not too fond of the spoken word beginning ( I looked up this "Meher Baha" person and he seems to be your standard quack with delusions of godhood.)I do love the song however, and support your mission, Miss Storm!

THEOTHERTROLL , TOTALLY CLUE LESS . I WAS THERE , I GOT IT . AND I DO BELIEVE IN GOD .ALSO STEPPEN WOLF SONG = MONSTER / SUICIDE IS AS TRUE TODAY AS IT WAS WHEN IT WAS WRITTEN AS LAY DOWN . WE ARE NOW THE UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF AMERICA AND MOST CAN NOT EVEN SEE IT . WHAT WAR DID WE WIN ? WHEN DID "BY THE PEOPLE , FOR THE PEOPLE" BECOME "SCREW THE PEOPLE" ?

people would asked me what this song meant and I always answer it doesn't matter - it's drug induced meaningless bull shit. Meher Baba was a delusional lunatic. The "hippies" wanted "peace and love " but never got off their dope smoking, pill popping Godless asses to do something about it. Now those same hippies, and dumb-ass kids, bitch about the mess they created - ignorant morons.
