I like Risk, I've been a fan for many years then stopped listening to them after Youthanasia, coming back to them now and listening to their backcat this album shows evolution and risk throwing caution to the wind, either way everybody has there own opinion on the album and mine is that its a great album and progressions always needed, who wants to listen to a band that puts the same album out ever year for 20 years and never progresses, not me! MegaDeth4Life!!! :)

Megadeth is my favorite band, so in my eyes Dave Mustaine can do no wrong but in all honesty I respect Megadeth so much for making Risk because it really showcases a different side of the band not only musically but lyrically, Dave Mustaine is such a brilliant song writer. He really puts a lot of meaning and thought into his lyrics that make you think for yourself. I really respect the fact that Magadeth chose to go more melodic on this record in a time where the whole nu-metal movement was so popular that every other band felt like they had to de-tune their guitars and their singers started rapping. Megadeth is truly a pioneering band to this day.

mustaine always insults extreme metal bands. christ, does he listen to his own nasely vocals? people in mainstream would say same about him. hes an ignorant twat and this album was a disaster thankfully. then super collider happened.

Still an underestimated album. As is Youthanasia, as is Cryptic Writings. Breadline, Wanderlust & Time are really good songs. All records ever since have been subpar with a just a couple of good songs here and there (washington is next, scorpion, ...).

I am a big metal head but thats not totaly true, I dont care if a band changes their music a bit but throw your fans a bone, two or three thrash songs and no one would complain. This record is pretty good I think but its too different. I hear Megadeth and I think kick ass thrash not radio songs. This is like a Mustang II vs a Shelby GT500, weak.
