Feel bad for Hyleg Ourobockle, his job is simple, guard the dark elf from anyone that will try to take it. We can assume he must to have this job a long time. Then Zero comes along and kills the dude that was there to help avoid the ensuring disasters that would follow if the elf was taken. Being the guardian of the dark elf, he probably had abilities that could help him nullify the powers of the Dark elf in case things got out of hand during his time watching it.
