Looks very like the last place I slept in a real bed, in Cornwall; that dull and misty day, things looked strange when we drove through a town the map said had a by-pass, but it had not, and saw a Safeways and Woolworths in the centre. Good though, we got petrol at some ridiculous price, 25p a litre, though somewhere down the road the car engine began knocking real bad then stalled. As dusk fell we found this inn, with great Medaeival music going, though must have had a power cut, only light was from candles and a great smoky fire. Enjoyed the hige roast hog though, but eating it with my fingers....well the Ciornish, you know. T'was in the morning when I began to ask where my car was, and was acused of witchcraft for telling tales of carts that even with no horse could travel to London in less than a week - so had to flee, and now avoiding the King's Witchfinder General somewhere up on Bodmin Moor.....6 years ago
