I heard this song today for the first time. I really enjoyed it and it made me think of my friend Becky and all the fun we've had being friends. She is the bible by the bed sings loud to make Jesus proud and yes a fish on her car kinda girl. Most of all she definitely had that sparkle in her beautiful eyes. We use to live in Monterey CA together and would love to take rides along the coast and mostly talk about God's blessings. I thought we were headed for the time of our lives but I guess not. Not if you don't realize Jesus DID die for us and you can't love anyone until you love yourself first. Thank you Jesus for loving me and forgiving me of my sin, guilt and shame and making it possible to love myself and others and have no fear, no doubts that together with God all things are possible. I pray that Becky one day goes for that ride and lives happily ever after giving God all the glory!

How long was faith healing the only form of medicine? This time could have been used to investigate into the various causes of disease instead of assuming the patient must have sinned for God to be unwilling to heal the person. Even today there are children who die without medical care because their parents put their faith in faith healing. For social hindrance, how many verses say women should be subservient to their husbands? Many church leaders took them to mean women are inferior to men.

We need people for CHRIST. Not for "the church", not "believers". It'd be an interesting experiment to have an entire nation working together, trusting that their needs will be met, willing to live simply that others may simply live, feeding and clothing the poor, healing the sick. Everyone working together to bring the outcasts back into society. I don't think religion would bug me so much if it looked like a source of good instead of a hindrance to progress (medical, social, technological)
