I don't disagree with you, and at the same time, you're wrong. "Diary of the Dead" was a better Romero film, and I'm sorry but just because the newer "Dawn of" was a remake doesn't mean it's terrible, it's a damn sight better than 90% of anything that's come from the whole zombie trend... You're mistaken to think Romero invented a genre. There are various genres within the subject of Zombie films, and there were walking dead in films from 1920 until 1968 when Romero did it for his first time.
