Daniel thats "Blue Birdland". Maynard used to open and close every show with that song. It was his trademark song. Miss him, for me the greatest trumpet player of all time..

I've been playing trumpet now for over 30 years, as an "enthusiastic, reasonably OK amateur". But my God, these guys good. The great Mr Ferguson was something else, but this group are a fitting tribute. I know most of of them are quite famous in their own right, and deservedly so, but this performance really does remind us what proper music is all about. Pure enthusiasm, pure enjoyment, pure magic.

I'm like a mixture of all three of them really if you hear me. Play high notes and play like eric and wayne, but when i play the high notes too long like double G, my low note tones aren't so good. Only in 9th grade and no lessons or anything. Just played my lips out every week and im as good as a freshman college student.

@Preston Canavan that "jackass" is Stan Mark. One of the greatest trumpet players of our time, right up there with Eric and Wayne. Maynard was EVERYTHING to Stan and so it is fitting that he shows enthusiasm and emotion towards his idol. He has an idol and someone to look up to unlike you and your worthless ignorant comments. Also, excuse me but I didn't see you on stage along with 50 of the greatest trumpeters of this time, so why are you judging them? Think twice before you try to be funny next time.
