I am quite sure that this guy playing the trumpet and making the show is Bill Chase. The haircut, the way he moves, the high register capabilities. Still I am confused because if that was shot in 1972, or let's say the early 70's, Bill already had his own band. So why would he be playing with MF?

I didn't know Ferguson played slide trombone, too. Until this vid, I'd only seen him playing valve trombone.
