Enjoyed going through some of these comments. It's fine to lament and be sad about Maynard, but rather than just listening, GO PLAY! There are many Maynard Ferguson charts that are doable by advanced and pro's that don't have the best chops: MY FUNNY VALENTINE is one. BIRDLAND is another. DANNY BOY and PEOPLE can be modified to still sound decent, but without the Double G's and higher...GO PLAY!!!
