Heard it a thousand times on the car radio. Listening to it again after all these years, I can appreciate its craftsmanship musically and lyrically. Appreciate the upload!

+Paul O'Malley had been putting me in a retro mood lately. Here is a great Canadian band from the late seventies/early eighties. This is another example of a fantastic track put on mixed tape +Tom Walton and +Robert Walton made for me as a kid. For some reason, I associate this song with a hot summer night and red sheet lightning...

I couldn't stand this song when it came out. About 3 years ago, I heard it for the first time in about 40 years, and now I like it a lot.

Max are Canada's must underrated band ever. Should have been huge. Sadly the US and other parts of the world didn't "get it'. Apparently. We'll kept them our secret. Pass it on.

I thank God I am a Canadian, otherwise I never would have been exposed to the awesome music of Max Webster!

proud to say I know Terry who wrote and sang this, and will pass on such kind words as you all have offered. Truly magic music in the mid to late 70's!

Wonderful song but probably didn't get the airplay it deserved because it appears to be about suicide. That aside, it has to be one of the best guitar riffs from the 70s.

This song does exactly what none of even the most popular musicians are capable of now. It sets a mood! A skill completely lost on today's artists. Now all we have is singers like Beyonce quivvering her voice. Very sad!
