I really wonder what the point of Max Payne 3 was. Max Payne 2 was the end of his journey to forgive himself for the death of his family- he finally found peace with his dead wife and daughter. There really wasn't any more ground to cover- at most, he should have appeared as a cameo in another game, showing how relatively happy he is in old age.But naturally, there was more money to be made from making another game, so they pretty much completely retcon the second game, calling Mona just "a fling" (when she was, in truth, crucial to his journey), and is also suddenly depressed over his family again. He's also lost all his poetic charm, and is instead a cheap attempt at shoving politics down everyone's throat.

i have played max payne 1 and 2 i have completed mp2 5 or 6 times and everytime i play that game that makes me feel very sad idk as i have played when 1 was 6 yrs old but storyline is awesome

i loved all the max payne series but when i am depressed i play and it makes me remove my depression and when i played max payne 3 it made me a person who could take his revenge from anyone the story was epic
