Max Greger - one of the German "swing legends" (the others are Paul Kuhn and Hugo Strasser) brings us this swingin samba which was made famous by Perry Como in the early 1960's. This one brings sweet memories to my mind as the track was included on one of my first Polydor sampler LP's. From the 1966 album "In Rio" here's Max Greger with his orchestra and one of the rare instrumental versions of "I love you and don't you forget it" - Enjoy !

Walter-yes, the power of remembering those first LPs--the first one I bought was the 5th Dimension's "Up, Up and Away" in 1967...but I'm proud to say I actually first bought used 78s--"Tiger Rag" and "Mississippi Mud" In the '60s, second hand stores would have stacks of 78s, two for 5 cents, or the old 78rpm page type albums for 15 cents.
