DonegalRaymie2015 years again reply to rjbjr1234 @rjbjr1234 Not that it's important, but this was made and filmed in Scotland. All the "Transatlantic Sessions" were, and the landscape you see outside is definitely Alba, not Eire! But it's the musicians that make this so special. And while Grant & Matheson are Scots, the others like Maura and Thompson are Irish/English and Douglas (my fav) is American, it's their blend that makes this unique. Forgot Bain & Cunningham too!

Glad many have enjoyed this old share of mine. Excuse long neglect of my YouTube channel. Not sure exactly what ShiraElanCollaBrie is asking about volumes. These were originally broadcast in 30 min segments - and I thought each series all on a single DVD by now.

Something happens to the musicians during these sessions. They appear to push their technical skills / talent to the limit at the same time there appears to be a massive amount cohesiveness between each other. The result is some of the best music on the planet.

What a great idea to bring together such wonderful artists from both sides of the Atlantic to Scotland to record such incredible jam sessions! Thanks Aly and Jerry!
