Matt Duncan's music is beautiful. It's soulful and sweet. It's expressive and engaging. Sometimes autobiographical and other times not, Matt's music invokes dramatic scenes from life that always seem to have a sort of grounded calm maturity to them. A kind of subdued realism. Familiar, but with a tinge of obscurity.
We met up with Matt Duncan (and Ryan Moore on Euphonium) at an elegant bed and breakfast just North of Lexington in horse country called the Essence of the Bluegrass, which had that beautiful grand piano located just underneath two winding staircases. He performs his song "Good Times" off his album Beacon. Relax and enjoy this remarkable session.
